A self-proclaimed growth hacker with over a decade of experience founding, consulting for and helping to grow brands, Scott McLeod is a Founding Member and the Chief of Staff at Resident, a rapidly expanding house of brands in the home goods category and one of the fastest growing online companies in North America. Scott has been with Resident since it launched in 2017, leveraging his extensive expertise and background to help lead to the unprecedented success of Nectar by Resident.

In his role, Scott marries his passion for consumer goods and lifestyle brands with a keen expertise in uncovering data-driven solutions to inspire organizational change. In addition to his work on the launch of Nectar by Resident, Scott also helped to spearhead the launch of Resident’s other brands including: DreamCloud, Awara, Bundle, Wovenly, Cloverlane, and 1771 Living. As Resident continues to expand into the home furnishings category and into new markets, Scott’s vision will remain focused on maintaining a distributed workforce and reaching more consumers in destinations around the globe. 

Throughout his years of experience, Scott has contributed to the success of big-name brands from Adobe, Time and Toyota to Facebook and AT&T.  Not only has Scott helped brands reach their full potential, but he’s also used his creativity to foster new brands, many of which have racked up viral popularity, like @FAM, which was acquired by Broadway Video, founded by Lorne Michaels.

When Scott isn’t working on continuing the growth of the portfolio of Resident brands, he’s dedicated to creating art. Some of his pieces can be seen on @scottmcleodart, and at galleries throughout the US. Born in Calgary and raised in Seattle, Scott currently lives in New York City.
