Verizon
David Garcia is Director of Retail Experience Innovation at Verizon, responsible for defining brand strategy, store experience, and leading retail transformation programs for Verizon’s marketing organization.

In the last year, David has tackled projects that have addressed long-standing consumer pain points with a focus on building customer engagement.  He recently led the development of Verizon’s new concept design and store of the future at Garden State Plaza Mall in New Jersey.  His scope includes: Omni channel strategy, digital retail, mobile app development, space planning, merchandise planning, product experience, retail interactive, customer experience, human interaction design, and "store of the future” at Verizon’s 1,700 company and 16,000+ franchise/wholesale retail locations.

Formerly he served as Director of Retail Sales & Operations leading more than 1,000 employees across 40 locations in Virginia and North Carolina. David started his career as a retail representative to pay his way through college and worked full-time while attending undergrad. 

A recognized thought leader on the role of data and personalization in retail, he earned a B.A. in English from St. John's University and is currently pursuing his M.B.A. at Cornell University.  David resides in Jersey City with his wife Miriam, a Peace Corps veteran and full-time medical student, and their English Bulldog Brody.
