The Microsoft Retail Experience Center (REC) is a private, 20,000-square foot facility housing a collection of functional and interactive store environments. Representing a blend of Microsoft’s and Microsoft Partner retail strategies, the Center demonstrates Microsoft’s ongoing commitment to innovation and exploring how technology-driven solutions can enhance consumers’ lives and shopping experiences.
The Retail Experience Center is designed as an retail shopping mall consisting of multiple classes-of-trade stores with real life examples. The center showcases powerful ways to cut costs, create efficiencies, streamline operations, and promote and sell goods – within the aisles, at check out, across the Web, and even at home or on the go. The facility not only showcases but is also used for research to test in-store displays, technologies, consumer shopping behaviors and packaging for consumer channel products.
